| The “o vento” work is part of the series “The 12 works”, where
the artist performs 12 performing stocks in which it will test the endurance and strength of the
body, taking as its premise the myth of Hercules.

| Elen Gruber was born in the town of Caxias in Maranhao, Brazil. Elen currently resides and
works in Sao Paulo. In 2010, Elen has started her career as an artist and has participated in
numerous exhibitions including the “17th Biennial of Cerveira” in Portugal, a
solo exhibition titled“Musculo” taken place in the Museum of Art in Goiania, Goias, both
presented in 2013. In 2014, Elen has participated in a project thatpresented the installation of
“Mesas para Luta de Braco” in Osasco, Sao Paulo. Still in 2014, Elen´s performance has
been featured in group exhibitions including the “65th Salao de Abril” in Fortaleza, State of
Ceara, Brazil and the “Mostra of Performatus #1” at the Central Galeria in Sao Paulo, Brazil. |
