Fran is a storyteller, historian, writer and tour guide who was delighted to discover she has Orcadian ancestry.
She told ghost stories on the streets of Edinburgh for 10 years before moving to Orkney and delving into the rich heritage of Orkney tales.
After attending a course run by the Scottish Storytelling Centre, she decided to organise a festival in Orkney, which ran in October 2010. She made new friends, laughed a lot, and told stories at any given opportunity. Now she’s doing it all over again….
